Personification is a part of figures of speech under the category of resemblance where inanimate objects and abstract notions are spoken of, as having life and intelligence. To be more elaborative, a concept or an object is given human attributes or feelings and spoken as it were theirs. Personification is also known as the common form of metaphor where non-human things are treated with human attributes. This type of figures of speech helps writers and poets in expressing their message through non-human things.
Eg: Death lays his icy hands-on Kings.
