The present perfect tense is used
- To indicate activities which have been already completed in the immediate past .Eg: The clock has just struck 10.
- The time of an action is indefinite. Eg: I have never seen her.
- Events where past situations still impact the present. Eg: I have finished my work (She doesn’t have any work right now).
- A situation which has begun long back and is still continuing. Eg: I have been sick since last week.
Tip time! In Present, we never use adverbs of past time. For example, yesterday. Instead, we use adverbs like often, never, yet, already.
