We sometimes just listen to what is being told but not care to put in efforts to understand what and why is it being told, this is what happens in a family or in any relation, we listen to others but not pay enough attention to understand them and act accordingly, which results in disturbances. Even in case of an organization we listen to all the instructions and queries but not understand it clearly. Hence, one has to pay attention and listen to understand.
