There are so many unwritten rules on communication, one of them is 4 T’s.
- Timing – Consider the time before you communicate something I.e, always ask yourself if it’s the right time to express your discomfort and would it solve the issue if communicated right away.
- Tone – Once you decide ‘when’ the next thing you got to focus is on how to deliver your thoughts in the most appropriate manner. Always keep your tone right, not too high or low.
- Technique – Get the technique of speaking right. Avoid jargons, generalized words like always, usually, etc.,
- Truth – They say it takes more guts to speak the truth than bluff around. So always get your facts right before you say something and don’t go based on personal assumptions.
